Background

  • In 1996, the question arose about the role of “Civil Society.” We, the people, attended
    dialogues on the subject. Individuals from civil societies gathered, tending to bring changes
    in the lives of the poor, ignorant, and marginalized people. This voice inspired youth,
    professionals, and social activists for collective action. Many problems were laid in front
    of us that required quick actions. The “development” was there, but the community was
    waiting and observing from the sidelines. People were mostly passive recipients and had
    no significant role in the development process. Therefore, we embarked on raising our
    voices and advocating for human rights. A group of vigilant, vocal, and deeply committed
